The Mos Eisley Bookstore is starting the Book Bin Project, a used book donation drive held throughout the year. We will be collecting used books of all types to donate to local charities. Initially we're looking for children and young adult titles to go to the Richmond Children's Hospital, but we will be adding adult focused charities for the titles that aren't appropriate for those readers.
How Can You Help?
Email us with the books you want to donate and we'll set things up. You can mail them to us via media mail (it's the cheapest way to send a lot of books) and we'll sort them and several times a year we'll drop them off at the charities. You get to help a charity, get a tax deduction on the value of your books, and make sure your old books don't end up in a landfill but instead in front of someone who will enjoy them.
When you email us, please be sure to specify the purpose of your books; either the Book Bin donation, or the Exchange store credit.
